20 YEARS PASSED IN A BEERBLAST

20 YEARS PASSED IN A BEERBLAST

The loudest band from the Lowlands is celebrating its 20th anniversary! When the Lighttown diehards rose up from Eindhoven in 1995 they had a damn good feeling about the road ahead, but no-one foresaw it would lead Peter Pan Speedrock across the length and breadth of Europe numerous times, cut through by tours in North America and Australia.   With over 25 releases under their belt PPSR are still getting better at what they do best: supercharging their own brand of rock & roll vigor. And their hands on approach doesn’t stop there. After recording with the likes of Kurt Bloch and Tomas Skogsberg, PPSR harnessed that experience, pulled their weight and built their own studio. It became the bedrock for their finest platter to date: Buckle Up And Shove It! verges on their blistering live sound like never before.   Now let’s get you up to speed on the current jubilee year. 2015 already saw the fifth installment of Klok Rock Orange, PPSR’s Kingsday festival for a royal dose of rock & roll. Mark November 21 on your calendar for Speedfest, the grand slam of rock on Dutch soil, instigated by PPSR. This annual international festivalhalla lights up for the tenth time, so it’s bound to be an extra special shindig.   Furthermore, PPSR have plenty of other projects in the works. Later this year a heavy duty photo book goes to print, highlighting two decades of Speedrock antics. Meanwhile they’ll rectify the only omission in PPSR’s discography: a bona fide live album. Beyond that a massive vinyl box is in the pipeline, which must be a treasure...

PPSR on SELF DESTRUCTO

PPSR on SELF DESTRUCTO

For the first time in a decade, The Netherland’s prevalent group of  balls out/motherfuckering rock n’ roll, Peter Pan Speedrock, will finally service their fan base in North America with their latest offering entitled “Buckle Up And Shove It” to be released on limited vinyl LP and CD through Self Destructo Records.   Peter Pan Speed Rock is easily and hands down the hardest working band to ever come from the Dutch rock n’ roll scene, and that can be said with absolute confidence on our end.  For a band whose name Peter Pan comes from the term “Peter Pan syndrome” (aka The Refusal To Grow Up syndrome), these guys have a career that has spanned twenty years with the result being 1800 shows, nine LP’s, a handful of E.P’s and split releases with the likes of fellow neck breakers Zeke, V8 Wankers, Gluecifer, and Danko Jones.  They have done transcontinental tours (Europe, Russia, Australia, and USA) and have created and organized their annual and worldwide celebrated festival, Speedfest, which is held in their hometown of Eindhoven “Rock City”.  They have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in underground hard rock, including Motorhead, Monster Magnet, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, The Fuzztones, Red Fang, The Reverend Horton Heat, Turbonegro, Nashville Pussy, Napalm Death and many more across the planet. It’s been nearly ten years (and countless amounts of Grolsch) since these guys have had a US release (Pursuit Until Capture c/o Prophase Music 2007) and they’ve only gotten heavier, louder and more abrasive with their sound and approach since.  The last time PPSR were in the US was...
